So I finally bought one, I got interested with analogue photography when I found this film camera on my mom’s cabinet. It’s a Kalimar MX-1. It was a good camera but the films get exposed whenever i use it. it’s somehow broken. So yeah. I bought this “La Sardina Cubic” yesterday and I like it so far, the wide angle lens, the flash, and the feeling of having one. Everyone’s got problem with the flash, I had too. but I finally made it work. Im snapping everything I see and currently enjoying it. hoho update. :)

I was going through my mom’s cabinets and I found a camera. Its an old manual camera, the Kalimar MX-1. The good thing about it is that it looks new, and the bad shit about it is that only 2 to 3 results from the internet where found on google, so I didnt find alot of information about the camera. Also wasn’t sure if it was still working but one thing is for sure though, this shit is pretty much phased out. So I brought it over to this Photo Lab and bought it a film which costed me a day of my allowance. About 95php for a 24 Exposure 200 ISO film that wasn’t worth the money. The camera has a few settings, actually.. it only has one setting which is the aperture. My first roll was ruined because I was a beginner and i knew nothing about film cameras. Back when I was a kid, I knew negatives and I also know that if I raise a negative into a light, I see a Red Sepia-tish preview of the photo from the film. So.. being a foolish airhead, I opened the camera and looked at it not knowing it will expose the film. Had the photos developed in this old photolab nearby and recovered about 5 photos that costed me another day of my allowance. Obviously, with all these costs, I was interested with lo-fi photography and found lomography which is a brand of film cameras. These cameras range around 4-7 thousand php. Yes.. alot cheaper than Digital SLR cameras (dreams). I was awed with these models— Holgas, La Sardina, Sprocket Rocket, Diana. Currently saving money for this costly interest. The camera’s a cost, The film’s a cost, the developing is a cost but I had to deal with all of these to gratify this interest. HAHAHAHA!

I love decembers! <3 ~ I even like it better than march. haha! The Holidays, the chilly Christmas air, money, gifts, and TATAY! Another homecoming tomorrow. I miss his voice, his warm embrace and everything about him.. T_T ~ The way he spoils us and buy things we do not really want but will eventually like. haha! Chocolates, milk, imported snacks. brr! haha! And my favorite thing about his homecoming are holiday trips outside of town. It’s been a year since we left with all of us present and it only happens when he’s home for christmas. I hope he gets here safe and right now.. he’s probably sleeping on the erufleyn~ haha! So yeah.
